Ongoing Weekly Classes

A List of Classes can be found below.

Weekly Ongoing Classes follow the traditional way I have taught classes. Students will meet weekly with classes running to spring. This is the way to expose your young artists to the most art instruction for your money. Throughout the school year students will learn painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, fused glass with drawing skills and art history taught every step of the way!

We don’t just do your typical paint on paper projects (although we do some).  We explore all those crazy messy projects you(and I) would never allow in our houses.  I try to expose children to as many different types of art making as I can!  Not every child likes every kind of medium.  Or maybe they “think” they don’t like it, but once given the opportunity it may become their favorite.  The art projects overlap, for example in one class we may begin the background of a painting and while that dries create a clay project and spray an overcoat on a sculpture project.  This is how I accommodate that child who doesn’t like clay, but loves paint.  We usually work on several things at once.

My belief is that the  more skill you have under your belt, the easier it is to create that vision you imagined.  So my job is to equip these artists with so many skills that anything they imagine can be created!  Of course, that mean that sometimes their work my all resemble each other, while other times each solution to a given problem will be all their own.

The cost is $150 for 6 classes, which equals $25 per class, which equals less than $16.50 an hour of pure creativity, imagination and fun.  Not to mention ALL SUPPLIES ARE INCLUDED!

You pay for 6-classes-at-a-time so I can plan ahead for supplies, but that doesn’t mean there are sessions that are six weeks long. I keep a “punch card system so that if you miss a class due to illness, vacation, recitals, etc you do not pay for that class. You never pay for a class you miss!  When you have used the 5th class of your 6 paid classes I will email you and you can pay for another 6 classes.  If you don’t use your paid classes I always issue a refund.

You can start and stop  your 6+ classes whenever you want. But since projects overlap your child may start class in the middle of a project or stop classes in the middle of a project. I pack in as much learning as I can in these weekly classes!  See more information on Schedule, Payment and Q and A in the links below.
